Yesterday was Thrifty Thursday!

I got to my local thrift store every Thursday after work. Pretty much because I go to the bank on Thursdays and I pass it on my way home. I love that I am continuously finding fabrics for soooo cheap!

Finally a Refashion of my OWN!

So for some times now I have been inspired by This Awesome Girl! I have tried a few times and failed, not really knowing what I was doing, I love to craft I love to sew but I am better at just winging it on small silly things when it comes to my sewing machine. If I have a pattern with instructions no problem I can whip something out quickly and I thought I could do the same for refashioning things. This was not the case. But I was successful with this skirt turned dress. (my mom went through her closets, baskets, and dressers and gave me a ton of things!

So finally a full post that has a refashion I am so happy with all of this. Soon to be shown on this blog, A vintage sewing table in the process of being refinished and also a hutch for my craft room to be sanded and stained that I got for a mere 30 dollars and its solid wood! YAY!!! I could not even buy and build it out of wood for that price!

Some Crafts and some other stuff

So I am going to try and neglect this blog less. (I have one follower so it is not like it matters much anyways.)

But here is some of what I have been up to since my brothers wedding

I decided that I would take all of Bobby's cousin Ragina's baby cloths (what they have left of her cloths that is) to make her a quilt. In the process of doing that I am recycling all of the zippers from the outfit (did you know zippers can be pretty pricey) YAY FOR RECYCLING!!!

My Main Squeez!!! This is my baby boy Wacko! He is my cat but the house hold I live in we have another cat Marvin and a pitbut mix Wilbur. But this is my pride and joy right here. Isn't he the cutest!!!

Bobby, our two friends and I went to a Phillie's GAME. GO PHILS!!!

I WENT BLOND! OMG! Actually this is alot more blond then I wanted and will be toning it down a bit in a week or so. (What do you guys think??!?! I would seriously love to know!)

I am still making hair clips cannot get enough of them!

This one was for the 4th of July! (that i forgot to wear *hand smacks head*)

I plan on getting better at keeping up I also have a few projects im working on that I didnt take pictures of and will add more to this soon ( In another post)

But i am making glass wear for a candy bar for a family member and also making her quest book as well!

Hopefully I get some more followers or atleast more page views other then just my own!

Neglect..

So I have seriously been neglecting this blog. As much as I have love for having one I am terrible with the upkeep, not that I have any readers anyways, but this is mine! I will be updating everyone soon with my latest craft creations, (helping out  Bobby's cousins wedding stuff) I am currently working on the glassware for the CANDY BAR woot woot!!! I will be writing more soon!

Bells were ringing! Now they have rung! Mr. & Mrs. Scott Sherick have become one!

My brothers wedding went of BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I blubbered like a baby something I never thought I would do! But it was just so beautiful I could not help myself!

Those things that just don't fit

So I found a new love Pinterest!!!!  I just love it!!! you can also check out my facebook!  Here are a few pictures of what I have Been up too!

I have been thrifting lately. my latest find is all this thread that cost me $6.50 if you are including the cost of the clothespins to organize it. Otherwise it was a whopping $4.45!!!

I went to a community yard sale a few weeks ago and picked up all the stuff you see for a total of $45.00. You read that right 45 bucks!!!!
(minus my kitty!! hes just nosy)

My boyfriends cousin asked me to make her, her guarders for her wedding this coming October! I was so honored! I am almost done them just waiting on her to find the charms she wants added to them!

My brother is getting married this Friday!!! So close!!! They rented a photo booth but they were gonna charge $75.00 on top of the rental fee for props so I made them some from templates I printed out online and cut out on scrapbook paper!!!

Another thrift store wonder was this pile of fabric I spent a whopping $25.00!!! could have spent 4 X's that at Joan's or Walmart!!!

I have been making these flower head pieces from the stock pile I shows above!!! Going to sell them at a flee market in June!

I also made this stamp from a packet of dollar store erasers I bought. I plan on making more but just have to find the time!!!









I Had a blast on my Hawaii trip in March! ALOT OF FUN! also like I said above my brother is getting married this Friday 5 18, 2012 and I am a brides maid. so nice to be asked to be in it! not much else is exciting or new! I have just been crafting, crafting, crafting and looking for new crafts to make!!!! Things are still going strong with my Love Bobby!!!
